A veteran journalist, Mallam Yakub Ajadi popularly known as Baba-pupa is dead.

Yakub died on Wednesday at age of 75 in Ilorin at his residence during a brief illness.
The corpse of late Yakub Ajadi is being carrying to final home by his family, friends, sympathizers and professional colleagues.
The deceased until his death was a staff of New Nigeria Newspaper, a pioneer staff of Herald Newspaper, staff of Daily Times Newspaper and a prof reader at National Moonlight Newspaper and many magazines.
He was survived by his wife, Hajia Khadijah Yakub, his children, Ahmed Yakub, Akeem Yakub, Latifat Yakub, Taofig Yakub and Mujidat Yakub.
Late Yakub has been buried in Ilorin on Thursday according to Muslims rites and fidau prayer will hold on Sunday 6th of February, 2022 by 10:am at his family compound, Agbaji quartets Ilorin, a family source said.
