Kwara NSCDC Cooperative Society To Establish Creche For Officer’s Children


In line with the aspiration and belief of the commandant general of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Ahmed Abubakar Audi, in the welfarism of the officers and men of the corps which is being championed by the Kwara State Commandant,Makinde Iskil Ayinla the NSCDC Cooperative Society in the State has concluded plans to establish a Creche that will be used to carter for the babies and young children of the officers during the working hours.

To this end, the commandant has lauded the effort of the cooperative society adding that this is part of the welfarism of the officers and would go a long way to help them to be more committed to their duties.


The Commandant stressed further that the command would do everything possible to rally round the coop society in order to give the proposed Creche a befitting standard.

According to the spokesman of the NSCDC in the State Babawale Zaid Afolabi the giant and innovative stride has received the blessing of the state commandant and will take off any moment from now.

“All the necessary machinery has been set in motion with a committee heads by ASC Ayeni Toyin already working round the clock, also Uniform, represented by their human resources manager Ibiyemi Opemipo has given us some mattresses and all the documentations and enquires have been done at ministry of education and other relevant agencies” the CDPRO concluded.

The chairman of the civil defence cooperative society in Kwara State,Ayinla Ahmed OlorunOje explained that the co-operative is doing this to help out officers who are nursing mothers and have to shuttle between a Creche and work place which sometimes affects their commitment to duties are among reasons why the decision to establish the Creche.

” We consider the stress some of our nursing mothers go through on daily basis in attending to their babies and get the job done in the office, also the nature of our job as security offices and some of the security challenges we are facing nowadays are part of the reasons why we feel it fit to establish the Creche.
