Kwara APC Mourns Ekiti LG Ward Leader’s Death


The All Progressives Congress (APC) Kwara State chsrlyer has condoled with the family of one of members in the Ekiti local government, late Chief Mrs. Olomi Sunday from Koro ward of the council area who died over the weekend in the hands of kidnappers.

This was contained in a condolence message signed and made to newsmen by the Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Tajudeen Folaranmi Aro in Ilorin on Monday said the APC ward leader was among those kidnapped by criminals on their way home from the inauguration of the State Executive Committee held in Ilorin, the state capital.

According to the message, five others who were kidnapped with her have been rescued by security agencies in conjunction with local hunters and Vigilante group, adding that the abductors have also been neutralised by the security outfits.


“The late Mrs. Sunday, was an active member of our great party, worked tirelessly with others to ensure the success of the party during and after the 2019 General elections and has been part of the efforts to strengthen the APC in the state.

“We pray that the Almighty God to grant the family of the deceased fortitude to bear the loss, while commiserating with all members and leaders of the party over the unfortunate incident, especially Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and State Chairman of the party, Sunday Fagbemi who have both visited the families of the victims in Koro, Ekiti local government area of the state.

“The party will continue to work with the government and the security agencies to protect lives and properties”, the message butressed.
