A non-profit making organization based in United Kindom has on Tuesday gave schoarship to some indigent pupils at primary schools in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State to support parents on the education of their children.
Speaking at the presentation of the items to beneficiary students, the state coordinator for the foundation, Alhaji Gbadebo Lawal said the donors was old Students of Queen Elizabeth School Ilorin who graduated in 1983.
He narrated that after graduated out of the school they met in UK, explaining that they formed a non-profit making foundation purposely to assist less privileged pupils back home in Nigeria.
He added that based on the mission, they sponsor lessprivileged children in the society up to Secondary School level, charging the parents of beneficiaries on proper monitoring of the items.
The Coordinator assued that the foundation will not hestate to do more, appealing to the school authorities to always brief the foundation on the accademic performance of beneficiaries particularly on materials given.
In his appreciation, the Head Teachers of Adeta LGEA school ‘A’, Mallam Issa Ayinde Jimoh thanked the donors for assisting the school and the less privileged pupils in the since 2017 up till date.
He also elogised the the selfless kind gesture of the foundation, promising to appreciate the gesture through maintenance of the hall renovated and the borehole sunk for the use of the teachers and the pupils.
In her remarks, the Head Teachers of Oke-Pakata ‘B’ LGEA, Hajia Yusuf Fatimoh on behalf of the school staff, management, the parents and the pupils particulaly the beneficiaries thanked BHAMUSON foundation for sponsoring the less privileged pupils in the school.
She said the concerned pupils we’re overwhelmed with the joy of gratitude for keeping to the promise despite the economy situation in Nigeria and at the world at large caused by COVID-19.
Various books including text books, stationeries, school bags, school uniforms and school sandals and cash were presented to indigent students at Alore ‘B’ LGEA, Oke-Pakata ‘B’ LGEA, Adeta ‘A’ LGEA, Adewole Junior Secondary School Ilorin and Adewole / Apalara LGEA all in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State.
