Angry Kwara Harmony Holdings Staff Demonstrates Over Un-Paid Salary. Be Patient Everythings Will Soon Normalised – DG


Angry Staff of Kwara State Harmony Holdings PLC, Ilorin has a peaceful demonstration at the Head Quarters of Harmony Holdings of the company premises to press home for their unpaid salary and unremited pension of staff in Ilorin on Monday.
According to a source closed to the company who pleaded for anonymity confirmed to this medium that the staff of company were owing salary, stating that Harmony Investment and Property Development Company are not receive their take home salary for the last four months.
The source further said Harmony Holdings Limited were denied their salary for six months, adding that Harmony Venture and Supplies had backlog of seven unpaid salary, while Kwara Hotels staff also owed four months salary.
He lamented that the current management of company refused to remitte staff pension and National Health Insurance Scheme for past six years.
The source said the DG was accused of Nepotism in the underground recruitment of staff in favour of his relatives while the company owing staff salaries.
While addressing the demonstrators, the Dirrctor General of the company, Mr. AbdulMajeed Abdullah called for mutual understanding between the management and the staff, stressing that the management is having sleepless nights over their plight.
He appealed to them not to damage the good image of the company that is currently building, promising that everything will take normal shape at the end of June.
