APA Holds Annual Ramadan Lecture In Ilorin.

Adewole Progressive Association (APA) in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State held it’s 2021 annual Ramadan lecture at Adewole Multipurpose Hall Adeta Ilorin on Saturday.

Delivering his Islamic Lecture tagged “Muslims and Christians Relationship in contemporary Society” an Ilorin based Islamic cleric, Ustaz Soliu Arowolo said Muslims and Christians believe on the same God.

He explained that the mode of worship may be differ, pointing out that Prophet Issa known as Jesus by the Christians was born in a misteriously way like Prophet Adam.

He described Jesus as a messager of God who sent by God Almighty to deliver special message God, stressing that both religious faithful should see themselves as brothers and sisters.

Cleric noted that both Holy Qur’an and Bible preach peace, adding that Jesus Christ was sent to Israel while Prophet Mohammed was sent to entire world.

He sees no reason Muslims and Christians can be qurelling over religious differences, solicited for mutual understanding among religious leaders and followers for peaceful co-existence in Ilorin, Kwara and Nigeria as a whole.

He charged Muslims to wake up from slumber to train their children on the religion of Islam, lamenting that many Muslims children have turned into hoodlums as a result of parental neglect, advising them to be promoting the culture and image of ancient city of ilorin.
