Asa Villagers Appeal For Rehabilitation Of Community Culvert, Road, Commends Kwara Govt


The villagers in Owode-oja community in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State has appealed to the Kwara State Government over the reconstruction of a collapsed culvert along Owode-oja road in Owode district.

In a save our soul message signed and made available to this medium by the Alangua of the the community, Alhaji Umar Kayode Sidiq.


He lamented that the culvert has been constructed more than five decades, stressing that it has over due for reconstruction but it wasn’t see the light of the day of the past administrations.

He called on the present government to come to thir aide by upgrade the road and reconstruction of the culvert, disclosing that the villagers have levied themselves on the construction of the culvert.

The traditional ruler bemoaned on present stage of road as a Total Dyna carrying bloks to a neighbouring village had an accident on the culvert and blocked the road.

He said that the accident has prevented the to and fro of easy vehiclars movement of motorists in the area.

He appreciated the present government in the state for the provision of school furniture for Owode-oja LGEA and renovation of health centre in the community.

He however, praised the present administration under the leadership of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for the people oriented programmes, calling for the urgent attention of the state government on the reconstruction of the road before the set in of rain.
