President Muhammadu Buhari is reportedly ready to sack more ministers from his cabinet may not be unconnected to non-performance of some ministers.
It will be recalled that President Buhari had on September 1, 2021 sacked the Minister of Agriculture, Sabo Nanono and his counterpart in the Power Ministry, Saleh Mamman.
Presidential Spokesperson, Femi Adeshina had noted that the sack of the 2 ministers was to consolidate on achievements of the present administration.
“The president had reviewed the performance of the cabinet and needed to reinvigorate for the last run. He wanted to consolidate on legacy performance and projects,” he said.
He added “He needed some reinvigoration but he didn’t say anything about weak or poor performance.”
Adesina said “Finally, I wish to reiterate once more, that this process shall be continuous”, he assured.
