CP fecillitates With Kwarans On Christmas, New Year

The Kwara State Police Command under the altruistic leadership of CP Emienbo Tuesday Assayomo psc+, wishes in advance to fecillitate with the good people of Kwara State in general and the Christian faithfuls in particular, on the celebration of Christmas and new year.

Kwara State Commissioner of Police in his Christmas and New year greeting said that the Yuletide usually comes with a special feeling of joy and happiness world over, as such, large human movements in and out of the state with its attendant security concern is expected.

Therefore, the command wishes to assure the good people of Kwara State of her preparedness to ensure that the festive period is enjoyed under a threat-free and in a highly convivial atmosphere and this can be made possible if every citizen diligently discharges his or her enshrined constitutional responsibility towards safety and security of the State.

In that regard, the officers and men of the Command have been sufficiently lectured on the need to discharge their duties in accordance with the dictate of the rules of their engagement, they are to be civil but firm while respecting the rights of the citizens at all times.

To ensure adequate and maximum utilisation of scarce human and material resources, all forms of Leave have been suspended.

A total of 2500 Policemen and women drawn from the Conventional Police, Police Mobile Force, Bomb disposal unit, Counter terrorist unit, Force Animal branch and others have also been deployed to enhance the security strategy emplaced in the state before,during and after the festivities.

The commissioner of police kwara State, CP Tuesday Assayomo advises members of the public to be moderate in all they do in the course of the celebration, transporters should obey all traffic laws, motorcycle operators should avoid unnecessary acrobatic displays, the youth must also shun the urge for substance use and most importantly, throwing of fire crackers popularly called Knock-Out Bangers would not be tolerated, as any offender arrested would be charged to court.
