Don’t Open For Business Before 10am – KWEPA G.M Warns Traders


Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA) General Manager, Alhaji Saad Ayuba Danmusa, has on Thursday warned marketers at Ipata and Oja-oba Ilorin not to open their shops for business before 10am every Thursday.

The General Manager stated this during the weekly environmental sanitation exercise mornitored in Ilorin by the agency.


According to him, “We organize this programme to sensitize traders on the need to evacuate rubbish in the markets parti at walk-ways.

“We have successfully held similar exercise at Kulende market last week Thursday.

“We also cleared junk out of the walk-ways around Post-Office area.

“Government is going to get a better place for the traders at Post-Office for buying and selling very soon”, he said.

He confirmed that market cleaning exercise is going to be holding every week Thursday, asuring that all markets in kwara state would be continuously monitor to move traders out of pedestrians passage along major streets in Ilorin.

G.M, said that all traders should not display their market early until 10am every Thursday, stressing that anyone caught would be deal with by the agency.
