Kidnappers of Alhaji Olalekan Yusuf who earlier demanded for two million naira ransom later jacked it up to ₦25m have finally collected ten million naira (₦10m) as ransom from the family of Alhaji Olalekan Yusuf popularly known as ‘Iyemoja’.
Alhaji Yusuf was reportedly have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen last week said to have gained his freedom from the hands of his abductors in the early hours of Sunday after the payment of ₦10m ransom.
According to a source closed to the family who don’t want his name to be mentioned confirmed that he was one of three persons sent to deliver the money to Kidnappers at appointed site in a bush close to ‘Kambi’ village along Jebba road in Moro local government of Kwara State.
“Ten million naira carried and delivered to them in two paint plastics at about 3:00am and we were ordered to waited for counting of the money and if tthe money is not complete then the three of us will also be in their captivity”, he narrated.
He narrated that the abductee were later released after spent six days in their captivity, explaining that the countingn of the money in the bush that took several hours convinently.
He lamenting that the victim was seriously injured as a result of maltreat.
All efforts made by this medium to speak with the victim proven abortive as he said to be in hospital for medical treatment.
As at the time of filling this report, there is no traces of the abductors by security agents.
