The contractor handling the ongoing Ga’a Osibi road project, Engr. Abubakar Shola Umar of MGK global services limited, has reacted to the collapsed portion of the road published by this medium, disclosing that the road is still an ongoing project.
In a follow up story by this medium, the contractor explained that a run away reckless truck driver while trying to make a U-turn on the road miscalculated and hit the concrete of the drainage system, which led to the partial collapse.
He said, his team swung into action immediately and ensure the portion is rehabilitated immediately for smooth passage of motorists and pedestrians.
The contractor therefore, urged motorists especially, heavy duty articulated trailer’s drivers to always endeavour to make use of the nearest round-about to make their U-turn as that will not only prevent damages but also avert unnecessary road crash.
He said the Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq led government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure Kwarans are comfortable in terms of rehabilitation and construction of new roads, in the state, urging the people to make proper use of these amenities.
One of the residents of the area, Alhaji Abibu Mustapha commended the good work of contractor, commending the Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on the Ga’a Osibi community road project.
