Heavy Gun Shots, As Kidnappers Abducted Villagers in Kwara. …Released After Ransom.


It was like an action packed movie when suspected dare devil Kidnappers stormed Sokoto village in Asa local government area of Kwara State as heavy gun shots rented the air on Sunday night.

It was reported that nine members of suspected Kidnappers invaded the with sophisticated weapons and attacked the residents of the village in a violent attack and kidnapped the wife and the brother to the head of the village, Mallam Yinusa Ishola.

It was gathered that the suspected Kidnappers came at about 8:05 pm in a full force motion with fully loaded AK-47 riffles and created panic and distbilized the residents of the village.

When NigeriaRealNews visited the village, few people were seen in the village as many have relocated to the next village for their safety.

Speaking with our reporter, the Magaji of Sokoto, Mallam Yinusa Ishola said the only few people in the village leave under tension for the fear of another attack, disclosing that those who remained in the village can not sleep with their two eyes closed.

He narrated that the suspected Kidnappers shooting sporadically at everywhere with a clubs to beat whoever that want to escape for their dear lives, stressing that they hit one of the community members with stick and fainted.

He added that they also collected people’s phones, I was miraculous escaped from being kidnapped and in the process, they kidnapped my wife and brother to unknown bush.

“They called me on phone that I should bring 12 million naira as a ransom to release my families and confirmed to them that all my property didn’t worth 1million talkless of 12 million naira.

I started begged them to have mercy on me after two days, they called me again that I should bring money but it must not be less than 2million if I want my families alive.

“I pleaded with them to accept 1.4million naira but later they agreed then I began to cried out for people’s help and I received the mercy of God through people’s assistance.

He further explained that the kidnappers described the point along Ogbomoso road as where the ransom is to be taking to with sound warning that no police or any security agencies should be informed.

“We quickly assigned one of brother of my wife to deliver the money to designated point along Ogbomoso road and it was delivered as directed by the Kidnappers and that’s how my families came back”, he confirmed.

While sharing her ordeals, Madam Iyabo Yinusa who was also kidnapped along side with Mallam Babatunde Abdullahi, said when they entered her room, they asked for her husband and she told them that she didn’t know his whereabout.


“Then they slapped my face and pointed guns at me that if I lied to them they would kill me, thank God they didn’t see my husband but held me his brother and started shooting along our way into the bush, they intervals served us Gari with water.

“We treked in the bush for four days, we don’t know the specific destination we are heading to, on many occasions, they beat us, they later called my husband through one of the phones earlier seized from residents.

“We were immidiately released after the payment of ransom and gave us ₦1000 to take bike back home because I was already sustained injury on my foots”, she lamented.

When contacted with the Kwara State Police Command Spokesperson, Mr. Ajayi Okasanmi said he was not aware of the incident despite the facts that the police patrol vans are patroling along Oko-olowo/ Eyenkorin express way.
