Hijab Crisis: Ilorin Emirate Alangua/Magajis’ Forum Advises CAN, Muslims To Embrace Peace.

Ilorin Emirate of Alangua/Magajis has advised members of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) and Muslims to avert any planned protest that may ignite crisis in Ilorin the Kwara State Capital.
The forum in their press statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the forum, Alhaji Zuluqurnain Abdulrahman and Alhaji Umar Kayode Sidiq which was made available to NigeriaRealNews in Ilorin on Sunday implored CAN to embrace peace and tranquility in the state.
The statement stressed that the nation is currently bedeviled with series of security challenges ranging from religious, social, economic, bamongry, kidnapping, unemployment and infrastructural deficit amomg others which requires collective concerns.
The statement raised alarm over the threat to cause mayhem in Ilorin by CAN in a bid to spurn court order and government’s directive on the use of Hijab by Muslims students in all government schools.
The forum praised the state Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for playing a fatherly role on the matter, commending the activeness of the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari and Chief Imam of Ilorin, Alhaji Imam Mohammad Bashir Soliu’s effort to put an end to trending issues by appealing to both aggrieved parties.
“We Elougised the leadership of Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) and the state government representatives of both faiths for their peaceful resolution, understanding and patriotism over the matter.
“All efforts to fuel ember of religions crisis in Kwara State by some elements shall not see the light of the day”, statement prayed.
The statement read “Let’s together organize national prayers and fasting to tackle kidnapping, youths restiveness and joblessness nationwide and desist from the acts capable of promoting imoral among our children.
The statement therefore, pointed out that the pronouncement of court was clear enough to let the peace reigns in Ilorin, adding that the rule of law must be respected as kwarans are peace loving people.
