Hon. Babatunde Issa, has officially declared his intension to run for a seat at Kwara House of Assembly ticket under the Peoples Democratic party (PDP).
Issa made the declaration on Monday at Ilorin West PDP local government party secretariat when he formerly presented his letter of intent to the PDP chairman, Ilorin West, Alhaji Abdulqodir Issa.
According to him, the move became necessary because he cannot run for the state house of assembly without the nomination of his party.
Receiving him at his office, Abdulqodri affirmed that Ilorin west PDP will offer a level-playing field for all aspirants.
The Chairman expressed hope that Issa is bringing his political and business experience to the party and advised him to seek party members’ support.
Abdulqodri also assured him of the PDP’s support if he emerges as its candidate, saying that all other aspirants will rally round whoever becomes the flagbearer.
Issa who is vying for the sit of Honorable Member of Kwara State House of Assembly representing Magaji Ngeri constituency, Ilorin central in the 2023 general elections was led to the PDP secretariat by the party’s bigwigs in Oko-Erin ward, among whom includes, Ilorin west PDP scribe, Alh. Sa’ad Agbabiaka, Oko – Erin ward PDP chairman, Alh. Oseni Magaji.
