I am Proud To Be Member Of GHS Ilorin Old Students – Olupo, C.S. Boss

The representatives of Government High School (GHS) Ilorin Old Students Association and the school management have paid a courtesy visits to His Royal Highness Oba Ismaheel Yahaya Alebiosu ii, ( The Olupo of Ajasse-Ipo) in his palace on Tuesday
In his speech at the palace, the National President of the association, Alhaji Raji Mohammed appreciated God Almighty for the honour done to the new Oba, admonishing him to put security, harmony and education as top most priority.
Mohammed who led representatives of GHS and the school management on a courtesy visit to Oba of Ajasse-Ipo, thanking the Oba for the warm reception, praying for his long life, good health and peaceful reign in office.
In his response, the new Oba of Ajasse-Ipo, His Royal Highness, Oba Ismaheel Yahaya Alebiosu ii, thanked the all Government High School Old Students Association for the visit, appreciating them for the support since the beginning of the royal seat race.
He maintained that as an old students of the college, he will continue to give all neccessary support to the association any time any day.
He solicited for useful elderly advice from members of the association, disclosing that his door would be open for constructive and fresh new ideas that would move his domain, the state and Nigeria forward.
“I Promised to live up to the tenets of visions of the founding father and I am very proud to be one old students of the school”, he elated.

While leading the members old students association and the school management in a similar visit to the Headquarters of Kwara State Correctional services Ilorin on Wednesday, the Commander of the Services, Alhaji Aliyu Baba Uthman who is also one of the alumnis of the school was in good mood to receive the delegates
In his opening remarks, the National President of Association, Alhaji Raji Mohammed onbehalf of old students congratulated the commandant on his recent promotion as head of kwara command of the services.
He charged him to re-double his efforts as he was posted back home to serve his people, enjoining him to project the name of Government High School in good light in the course of his onerous assignment and wishing him a successful tenure.
In response, the Commandant expressed his delight to have received some of his school seniors and school mates who claimed to seen for the past three decades, assuring that the relationship will continue to wax stronger for life.
“I felt like a needle in an occan because I don’t expect the visit. At everyone level, whatever assistance we can do for ourselves, I will not hesitate in as much I hear GHS, that is only my key irrespective of set.
“What old students did to me today, it will linger on my memory for life because life is like a moving shadow. I am proud to be a member of the school. I was part of those who lifted the name of the college interns of supports.
“We won a lot of laurels for the school, I thanked God today that the name of the school that we build in those days people are still raising it up, it terms of academics government high school is not lagging behind, we are really progressing because our fathers and leaders were not sleeping”, stressed.
