I Reduce Prizes To Attract Customers, Despite High Cost Of Materials- Hairstylist

A professional hairstylist at Post Office area in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital, Mrs. Joseph Chidima has complained over the low patronage of customers in her shop in recent times despite the cost of hairs materials is Skyrocketed in the markets.

Speaking with Nigeria RealNews, Chidima said sales has reduced as many women are no longer come for hair-do in salon, lamenting that some customers engaging unprofessional hairdresser or friends to do the their for them for free at their respective homes.

She narrated that she went for hairdresser training due to the interest she has on the profession and there was no money to set up the business, adding that after the training there was challenges in the establishment of the business.

“I faced a lot of problems and there was no immidiate solutions to it as there was no one to assist on working tools, I need to struggle myself to get some equipment. At times I need to bring down the prize to attract customers.

She thanked God that more customers are patronising my shop”, she explained.

She however, urged the governments at various levels, spiritual individuals and Wel to do in the society to assist in the lessprivileged ones to better and improve on their lives particularly on their business.
