IGS Ilorin Gets First Female Principal

Ilorin Gramar School (IGS) was established on the 6th of February, 1967 by some elites of Ilorin community which was later metaphorsis into Ilorin Emirate Development Progressive Union (IEDPU).

The school has produced many eminient scholar in different fields of human endeavours in Kwara, Nigeria and across the globe and the school is on the verge to produce more students that would be proud of in Kwara, Nigeria and the world at large.

Hajia Muslimat Iyabo Abdullahi as current principal picks the administrative baton from the immidiate past school principal in 2021 and starting run the race for the success of the school according to the available records of achievements of present principal of the school.

Hajia Abdullahi is the thirteenth principal of the college and the only female among the best performed administrators of the school according to the research conducted by this medium in the college.

Investigation conducted in the premises shown that the both the UBE and Senior sections of principals were working on the same page for all round development of the school.

Speaking with Nigeria RealNews in her school, the principal of the school, Hajia Muslimat Iyabo Abdullahi said when she resumed, the school she met a terrible situation.

She explained that shortly after resumption, regular counseling for the students, closing monitoring of class teachers and make sure that no class was left unlock after the closing hours.

“Each time, sensitised students on the danger of hard drugs, raping, cultism, internet fraud, robbery, absenteeism, lateness to school, disobedience to school authority. We checked mate the illegal influxe of miscreants into the school compound among others”, she explained.

“We encouraged students on reading culture. We also protest the facilities provided by the government, old students and some other philanthropists against vandalization by the students. And any destroyed facility would be replaced immediately by the vandals.

According to the assessment conducted by our reporter in the school observed that all the facilities put in place by contactor in the school were still intact due to proper maintenance and monitoring.
