The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kwara Central Senatorial District, Alhaji Isiaka Owolabi has called on members of PDP in the Emirate to register and obtain their Permanent Voters Card at their various polling unit.
The chairman made the call while speaking at the unveiling of a billboard erected by the association in support of the former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki’s presidential ambition in 2023 on Wednesday in Ilorin.
He said previous governments in the state can not compare with the present administration interns of people’s orientation programme that benefited people at grassroots, urging PDP at National level to endorse Bukola Saraki as the party flagg- bearer in 2023 presidential election.
He urged all to register for PVCs as it became necessary for eligible members of the public to fully during future elections, advising members of association to always work towards the progress and success of the party.
Also speaking, the former Chairman of Asa local government in Kwara State, Alhaji Isiaka Labeka appealed to all PDP members to remain united and mobilise for members, assuring that PDP will take over Aso rock and the state Government House in 2023.
In his good will message, the former Kwara SUBEB boss, Alhaji Lambe Magobon enjoined all not to relent on their effort in mobilising more members to the party, charging them to get their PVCs ready for coming elections.
In his brief association history, the Media Committee Secretary, Alhaji Abdullahi Adogunduro narrated that the movement was formed about three years ago with three representative from each ward comprising five local governments in the Emirate.
He said the movement formed to review and observe some mistakes committed during last elections and proffer corrections in preparation for future elections, hinted that the association has been making progress in its activities.
He disclosed that funding of the association relies on individual member’s contribution for the implementation of movement programmes, pointing out that the movement always holds monthly prayer for the progress and success for the party and Bukola Saraki presidential ambition.
Earlier in his welcome address, the chairman of the movement, Alhaji Isiaka Hassan, thanked all members and invited guests for honouring the association invitation, commending the effort of both the Kwara Central Senatorial Chairman, Alhaji Isiaka Owolabi and Ilorin West Local Government chairman.
The prayer session was led by Alhaji Garuba Mohammed, Bobonkiri Ibrahim from Ilorin West, Mukadam Abdullahi from Moro Local Government, Alhaji Abdulateef Olaosebikan, from Ilorin South, Hon. Abdullahi Jagun and AbdulRahaman Abdulraheem also from Ilorin East Local Government.
