The reconciliatory efforts of Kwara Governor, Adbdulrahman Abdulrazaq with the Minister for Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, seems to be gaining momentum with the absence of the Ministers at a said parallel congress held at a location in Ilorin on Saturday.
Mohammed is believed to have consented in principle to sheathe his swords and work with Governor Abdulrazaq in building a virile and strong party in Kwara.
In a related manner, the suspended Chairman and one time factional Chairman of the APC in Kwara state Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa (BOB), Senator Gbemisola Saraki, Iyiola Akogun were also distanced themselves from the purported congress.
Bolarinwa it was gathered refused to step aside for Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo as the Chairman of the party. Akogun’s candidature had earlier been revealed hours before the Congress on the social media with wide acceptability.
Bolarinwa, according to our source felt slighted by the development, leading to internal wranglings among their faithfuls.
This development led to the withdrawal of Akogun Oyedepo from the race.
No strong leader of the Lai Mohammed group attended the said purported parallel congress.
