Kwara Community Appeals To Gov Abdulrasaq Over Perennials Worrisome Flooding Roa
The residents of Kanga-Metta Community in Ilorin East local government area of Kwara State, has called other State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq as a matter of urgency to come into their aide over perennials flooding.

Speaking with RealNews Online reporter after the community meeting held in the area, the community General secretary, Mallam Muritala Yero made the appeal on Sunday, confirmed that the road is the only road serving the community and it has becomes a worrisome death trap.

He explained that the road has become nuisance for the whole community and passersby during each downfall, calling for immidiate attention of the state government to protect lives and properties of the residents.

He advised that the government to construct the road drainage before another raining season due to the importance of the road to larger population of masses, pointing out that the erosion have flooded away many shoos and residential buildings along the road.

The secretary disclosed that several efforts have been made by the community to ensure that the road witness the light of the day but to no avail, even Kwara State Commissioner for Works and Transport sent Chairman, Kwara State Road Maintenance Agency, Alhaji Kale Oloje to the site for on-the-spot assessment.

“I hope the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq will look into our problems in a view to construct the road from Onitiku junction to Akere-biata Sobi road in Ilorin East local government. The road has crippled the socio-economic of the community as many residents fleeing the community to another developed areas.

“Many have became homeless as a result of yearly erosion. We Believed that the government of day will now urgently swing into action and come to our aide as earlier promised by the Chairman of Kwara State Road Maintenance Agency (KWARMA), Alhaji Bolakale Oloje”, he stressed.
The secretary However, on behalf of the community pledged the unalloyed support for success of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq’s administration on his second term agenda.
