Agbonda community in Omu Aran, ifelodun local government area of Kwara State has donated an operational vehicle and bike to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in the town in appreciation for the untiring efforts of the Corps to rid the community of criminal elements to ensure security of lives and property of the residents.
The State Civil Defence Public Relations Officer, Babawale Zaid Afolabi made this known in a statement signed and made available to newsmen Ilorin on Thursday said the community appreciated the efforts of the Corps in the town.
The statement added that the command believed that the donation will further strengthening the cordial relationship between the command and the community, pointing out that it would also boosting the confidence of operational activities of the corps in the area.
“The State Commandant Iskilu Ayinla Makinde received the operational vehicles and motor bike on behalf of the corps and assured the community that the corps will not relent in its efforts to rid the area and Kwara State in general of crimes and criminal elements” Babawale disclosed.
According to the CDPRO, the presentation was witnessed by the Oba of Agbonda, His Royal Highness Oba Sunday Iranloye who seized the occasion to promise that his people will continue to support civil defence and other security agencies in the area with logistics and other necessary equipment that can further boost effectiveness of command operations.
