The Acting Provost, Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, Dr. Jimoh Ahmed Ayinla has said that the Kwara State Government under the leadership of Gov Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq’s effort towards the realization of the accreditation program was immense, adding that the State Government supported the school with the sum of N70m, which is what hastened its realization.
He said the ongoing accreditation of seven new degree courses by the Nigerian University Commission, NUC in affiliation with Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti is to meet with the standard of the school.
Dr. Ayinla made this known during Just Event Online Inside School and Entertainment while responding to questions from Hanifat Ismail
The Acting Provost affirmed that the students can freely go for National Youth Service Corps, upon successful completion of the courses
Dr. Ahmed maintained that the processing of accreditation started in 2018 but the efforts made by the institution management then was fruitless
The provost also disclosed that affiliation with the University of Ilorin will soon commence, as there are ongoing preparations for it, adding that a sum of N19.5m will be spent on its actualization
He commended the State Government for the support rendered towards successful accreditation of the courses.
Also, the Principal of Kwara State College of Education Model Secondary School debunked the circulating rumor over sit-at-work protest of the staffs.
He maintained that the school activities are going smoothly as it was supposed to, without any hindrances.
