Kwara Govt Sets Aside ₦14b On Revitalisation UBE Schools


The Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq led administration in Kwara State is committing spent at least ₦14b on revitalisation the basic education sector across the sixteen local governments area in the state after accessing the N7.1b UBEC funds, an accumulation of UBEC grants that were not accessed between 2014 and 2019.


“This money would be spend in phases to fix 600 elementary schools out of the over 1400 decrepit basic education facilities across the state.


Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board has since begin monitoring of the projects to ensure compliance with the work plan across the 16 local government areas of the state.


The projects were in Kaima local government to include VIP toilets to curb open defecation, Kaiama LGEA School, Kaiam, Mora Tasude JSS, Kaiama, LGEA Primary School, Dada LGEA Kemanji II, Kaiama, LGEA Primary School DaruSalam, Kaiama, construction of blocks of Classrooms.
Others are, LGEA School Kinikini Kaiama, LGEA Primary School, Famini
KLGEA School Kemanji II Kaiama, LGEA School Kanikoko, LGEA School Daru Salam, LGEA School Kango Owode, Kaiama, LGEA School Gorobani Kaiama.


Others include remodeling of classrooms at LGEA School Banni Kaiama, LGEA School Kuguji, LGEA Primary School Bezira, LGEA Primary School, Tunga Aboki Kaiama, LGEA Primary School Shirigwaria Kaiama, Central Primary School Kaiama, LGEA School Kemanji II Kaiama, Junior Secondary School Tasude GDSS JSS Kaiama.


They are also comprises of fabrication of Students’ furnitures,75 units for LGEA School Kinikini, LGEA School Kango Owode – 75 Units, LGEA Daru Salam – 50 Units, LGEA School Daru Sallam – 75 Units, LGEA School Kanikoko – 75 Units, LGEA School Gorobani – 50 Units, LGEA School GaaYaku – 50 Units and LGEA Primary School, Famini – 75 Units.


Conversion of classroom to digital literacy centre with equipments is not left out, Bagidi Kiyaru IV LGEA School Kaiama.
