Kwara Police Arrests 24-yr-Old Ritualist With Fresh Human Head, Hands.

The Kwara State Police Command has arrested a 24 year old ritualist, Kehinde John with a fresh human head and hands in Ajasse-Ipo in Irepodun local government area of Kwara State at the Command headquarters in Ilorin on Monday.

Briefing the journalists at the Command headquarters in Ilorin the Kwara state capital on Monday the police spokesman, SP Okasanmi Ajayi told the newsmen that the suspect was arrested along Ilorin Ajasse-Ipo road by the police on duty.
According to him, “On 3rd May 2021, at about 0630am, along Ajase Ipo/Ilorin road, a team of Operation Harmony, on a stop and search duty, stopped a commercial bus and in the process of search, a boy in the vehicle took to his heels while his partner was apprehended.
PPRO said a bag in his possession was searched and a freshly severed head and hands of a boy was discovered.

“In the course of interrogation, he confessed to have killed the victim named Mohammed in Ajase Ipo with his fleeing partner for ritual purposes.
“On the strength of the discovery, the Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Lawal Bagega, directed the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to conduct a thoroughly Investigation into the case,” he said.

The suspect, Kehinde John Moses took the team of investigators to where the Corps of the deceased was dumped and subsequently transferred to the hospital for autopsy.

The commissioner of police, CP Mohammed Lawal Bagega wishes to advise criminals to vacate Kwara State, as the Command possesses the capacity to deploy all legal means to deal with criminals.

He however, assured the residents of Kwara to pass any useful information that could lead to the arrest at their hindeout, appealing to the people remain law abiding citizens as their lives and property save at all times.

“Investigation into the crime is ongoing, the suspects will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded”, the police added.
