Kwara Police Confirm Recovery Dead Body Of Olla Kidnapped Victim

The Kwara State Police Command has confirmed the recovery of the dead body of 56 years old man, Olujala Adegboyega, who was kidnapped on the 19/11/2021 at Olla town in Isin Local government area of Kwara State.

The command spokesman, SP Okasanmi Ajayi (anipr) in a press release wishes to express command condolences to the people of Olla in particular and Kwara State in general, lamenting that with every available human and material resources effort deployed by the command to rescue victim alive proved abortive.

The release said “It was unfortunate that the reverse was the case, as he died as a result of the severe injuries inflicted to his left hand by the kidnappers in the struggle to subdue him. When information received from the team of vigilante and local hunters coopted into the search of the victim later found his dead body in a thick forest.

The courps of Adegboyega has been handed over to the family by the police, because of the decomposing condition of the body”, release said.

The release further said efforts is still ongoing to arrest the culprits as we believe some of the criminals must have sustained various degrees of injuries in the course of exchange of gunfire with men of security agents.

The Commissioner of Police Kwara State Command, CP Tuesday Assayomo, once again commensurate with the family of the deceased.

He further assured the people of Kwara State that the Command will not relent in her effort to see that criminality of any nature and shape are brought down to zero level in the state before, during and after the yuletide period in the State.
