Kwara South Women Group Rejoices With Fagbemi’s Victory As APC Chair

A frontline of All Progressives Congress (APC) women group in Kwara South Senatorial District has rejoiced with the newly elected chairman of the party, Chief Sunday Ayo Fagbemi, the State Secretary, Alhaji Mustapha Isowo, Deputy Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Samaritan, the State Women’s leader, Kwara South Senatorial Chairman, Olabanji and others state executives.

The group led by its political Cordinator, Hon. Idowu Olanike Lawal in a congratulatory courtesy visit to the new chairman in his residence in Ilorin on Thursday appreciated the state governor, all the party delegates for the peaceful conduct of the State Congress held in Ilorin at the weekend.

The message said, “It is with huge delight that we congratulate the newly elected executives of the APC, our great party in Kwara State, under the leadership of amiable Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq and the Speaker of Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Salihu Danladi.

“We also extend our profoundly appreciation to the indefatigable Transition Implementation Committee Chairmen in the Kwara South particularly the TIC for Irepodun, Hon. Jide Oyinloye, TIC for Isin local government, Engr. Tunde Fadipe, TIC for Offa local government, Hon. Thomas Olajare Olatundun, TIC Ifelodun local government, Hon. Asonibare Olamuide John, TIC Ekiti local government, Hon. Kehinde Bayode, TIC for Oke-Ero local government, Hon. Gbenga Victor Yusuf and TIC for Oyun local government, Hon. Dr. Waheed Ibrahim Olaitan.

The congratulatory message also commended the elders of the party in Kwara South leader for their immeasurable roles in instilling unity in the party and for the smooth conduct of the Congress.

“We Gave the pedigree of the members of the new executives in Kwara State, we have no doubt that our great party will remain on power beyond 2023.”

In her address, the President of the group, Chief (Mrs.) Abidoye Moradeyo Onijo advocated for more women in the state Cabinet and more women in the state house of assembly, house of representatives as well as senators.
She urged the state party chairman to deliver their message directly to the governor, promising the the hundred percent support to give their unwavering support to the new leadership of the party ahead of subsequent elections in the state.
Responding, the State Chairman of APC, Chief Sunday Ayo Fagbemi charged them to redouble their effort in canvasing more members for the party, assuring them that their message would be delivered to the governor.
Others local government Cordinators present during the visit include Chief Abidoye Motunrayo Onijo, Hon. Abdulkareem Kubra, Hajia Mohammed Taibat, Mrs. Taiwo Motunrayo, Envag. Fumilayo Olawuyi, Hajia Omotosho Rashidat and Mrs. Afolayan Omolola among the others.
