No Salary For Constabularies In Kwara, PPRO, Okasanmi Re-echo

The Public Relations Officer for Kwara State Police Command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, has re-echoed that there is no monthly salary for special constabularies in the state.

It could be recalled that the Inspector General of Police speech during his one-day working visit to Kwara State Police command disclosed that community policing is not a paid job.

He said “There is no salary payment for special constabularies, it is a voluntary service. But other stipends and allowances are also paid to them when it comes in.

“Community constabularies are people who have time to spare to protect their communities, we take them in after their names have been submitted, give them some training so that they don’t look lost when handling matters in their community.”
