Newly elected Executive, Radio Kwara Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists has been charged to prioritize the welfare of their members
State NUJ Chairman, Mallam Abdul-lateef Ahmed gave the charge today during the inauguration of the Radio Kwara Chapel NUJ new Executive held at the Mandate Studio of the station, Ilorin.
Mr Ahmed encouraged the new executive members to the culture of transparency and accountability in the discharge of their duty.
He described the election that ushered in new Executive Members as historic, rancour free in the annals of the chapel.
Mr. Ahmed appreciated Radio Kwara Chapel of NUJ for providing overwhelming support for his emergence as the NUJ State Council Chairman in the state.
Also Speaking, General Manager Radio Kwara, Ilorin, Alhaji Kayode Aremu tasked the new executive members to strictly adhere to the constitution of the union to forestall unforseen circumstances.
Alhaji Aremu called on the executive members to work as a team to guard against disintegration.
Speaking Earlier, Chairman, Credentials and Screening Committee, Radio Kwara Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Hajia Hawa Tajudeen said Credential Committee explained that the election of the new executive members was laced with process inline with the constitution of the union.
Hajia Tajudeen urged the new executive to Reinvigorate and reform, the chapel of NUJ to attain greater heights.
In his speech, Immediate past Chairman, NUJ Radio Kwara Chapel, Alhaji Bashir Ademola-Jimoh called on the new executive to make congresses of the union paramount to move the chapel forward.
Alhaji Jimoh implored the new executive of the chapel to collaborate with the state Council to achieve desired results.
In his Acceptance Speech, newly elected NUJ Radio Kwara Chapel Chapel, Mr Abdul-Hameed Funsho- Alaiye assured members of union of open door policy and firmness in the interest of the union.
