Promote Anti Corruption, Sanity – Kwara Poly Rector Charges Vanguard

 

 

The Rector, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Engr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed has charged members of the newly inaugurated Anti – Corruption Vanguard in the Polytechnic to promote discipline, sanity in the fight against corruption within the campus and its neighbouring communities.

 

 

Abdul gave the charge during the official inauguration of the Students Anti Corruption Vanguard of the Polytechnic, noting that since the inception of Anti Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) in the Polytechnic, 2015, Corruption within the System had been reduced drastically.

 

 

He added that the Polytechnic has zero tolerance for fraud, stressing that the Management through ACTU had informed and enlightened Staff on what constitute corrupt practices.

 

 

He disclosed that the coming of the Students Anti Corruption Vanguard will further strengthen the cordial relations that exist between the Polytechnic and the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

 

 

He lauded the ICPC for acknowledging the Polytechnic worthy of this development, stressing that the institution’s members of the Anti Corruption Vanguard are youths who are strategic partners in the fight against corruption in the society.

 

 

The Rector however, promised not relent efforts at fighting corruption to make the school community and the society at large better place for all.
