Purchase Of Commissioners’ Cars, Long Overdue – Kwarans React

…Hail AbdulRazaq On prudency

Kwarans have said the purchase of cars for the state executive council is long overdue, thanking Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for deeming it fit this time.

Recalled that an analyst, working for the opposition party on Sobi FM today alledged the government of not announcing to the general public before purchasing the Geely Coolray SUV vehicles.

Below are the reactions of Kwarans over the issue.

There is nothing special in procuring a vehicle for the commissioners who have served the state fervently for three years. It is a laudable development and do not worth playing politics with because it didn’t portray Kwara well in the comity of state that her commissioners have been in office for three solid years without a car. The governor has always been prudent in spending and transparent in all projects embarked upon since inception and procurement of vehicles to the commissioners should not require announcement to the general public before it is done – Civil servants

The development should not raise an eyebrow from any quarter because it does not worth it. When Dr. Bukola Saraki and Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed were in power, they bought exotic cars for their commissioners and even the S.As without facing persecution from anyone – PDP member, Alhaji Saka AbdulWaheed

Purchase of cars for the commissioners is a general and usual thing and this coming from Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq should not be an exception – Public Analyst Julius Adeyemo.
