Queen Sch. Principal Praises Gov Abdulrasaq, Education Commissioner, Old Students Over School Support


The Principal of Queen Elizabeth School Ilorin, Hajia Sidikat Taye Lawal has commended the Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for construction of channelization of roads within the the school compound.

The Principal made the commendation while speaking with our reporters in her school on Wednesday said the governor had tried a lot for the college in the areas of the school need, pointing out that the school have benefited a lot since the inception of his administration.

She added that the governor has also renovated and reroof of Mariam, Taiwo and Hope houses that was blown off during this year rainy, praising the 1982 set of the college for the renovation and equipped the Physics laboratory for the use of the students.

She elogised the the class of 1984 for rehabilitation and equipped the school clinic with essential drugs and also facilitated a block of three class rooms, appreciating 1976 and 2003 for the erection of solar street lights in the school premises.

The elated Principal gave kudos to 1981 set for rebublished dinning hall and kitchen room of the school, acknowledging 1990 set for fixing the school Chemistry Laboratory that was locked and key for the past fifteen years.

She also praised the efforts of the national body of old students association for renovation and beautification of both central mosque and Christian chapel of the college.

She commended the efforts of Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) for renovation of Adijat and Fatimoh house while Ayisat house which was also renovated by 1993 set, appreciating the giant stride of Queen School Old Students Association for relentless assistance being render for development of the school.

Hajia Lawal who is the first old student to be appointed as principal of the college charged old students not rest on their oars, thanking the state governor, Mallam Abdulrahman AAbdulrasaq increased the feeding allowance of the students and adequately cater their welfare.

She however, gave accolade on the active performance of Kwara State Hon. Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Sahadat Modibbo Kawu in making sure that education sector in the state improved.
