Saraki, Ahmed, Others Graced Fidau For Late Ex-Minister’s Mother In Ilorin

Former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki and former governor Abdulfatah Ahmed at the 5th Day Fidau prayer for Late Alhaja Rafat Abdulahi in Ilorin , Kwara state on Sunday.
President of the eighth senate , Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, former governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim, former Speaker, Kwara state House of Assembly, Hon Tunde Mohammed, former Nigerian Ambassador to Netherland, Alhaja Nihinlola Akanbi, former state lawmaker, Hon Isiaka Magaji, former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Alhaji Saka Isau (SAN) , Hakeem Mustapha (SAN), popular Kwara North politician, Alhaji Mariam Al-Hassan, Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo, Alhaji Hassan Gegele, Alhaji Tajudeen Lawal popularly known as Araba, Alhaji Lamidi Akanbi and Alhaji Toyin Olookoba were among dignitaries at the fidau prayer .
Alhaja Rafat Abdullahi, mother of former Sports minister, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, crossed the great divide on Wednesday 4 August 2021. She died at 76.
Presiding over the prayer, the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Mohammed Bashir Soliu, offered special prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased after the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an.
In a short sermon, the Grand Mukadam of Ilorin, Sheikh Sulaiman Dan-Borno, emphasized the need for children of the deceased to sustain her legacies of good neighbourliness and friendly disposition to family members.
Dan- Borno also urged Muslims to obey God’s commandment, asking them to take good care of their parents while alive and to also remember dead parents through acts of charity and kindness to the needy.
