Saraki Appeals To Stakeholders Involves in Oyo Herdsmen/Yoruba Crisis To Speak Out.

Former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has joined prominent Nigerians who have reacted to the ongoing ethnic crisis in Oyo and Ondo State.

Saraki said the ongoing crisis in Oyo and Ondo is a threat to the unity of the country, condemning the attack on Fulani settlement in Igangan and the eviction notice given to Fulani people in Oyo and Ondo State.

Saraki said the tension has increased and the temperature of the country has risen, urged all stakeholders involved in the matter to speak up because their silence is not golden.

This was made known to the public through a press statement released by him on Sunday evening.

Part of the statement read: “I strongly appeal to all of us to work for peace and take initiatives that can douse the tension.

All Nigerians have a responsibility to begin to take measures that will reassure people across board that a united Nigeria will benefit everybody better than a disintegrated country,” Saraki said.
