The Chairman of National Union of Teachers (NUT) Ilorin West Chapter, Mallam Abdulyekeen Musa in his short speech advised the teachers in the local government to respect the union for the progress of the profession.
He praised the retired Head Teacher for marking the teaching profession proud through all her service years, urging those still in teaching service to emulate the good conduct of Hajia Abdulrahman Fatimoh Bodunrin Alomimata.
He commended the retired educationist for keeping the flag of teachers flying high in training other people children, noting that the turn out at her retirement ceremony indicated that she was admired by all in the school she served niether as teacher or as Head Teacher.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Head Teacher of Alore school ‘B’, Mallam AbdulRazaq Olokoto described the retiree as an experienced teacher whom he gained a lot from her wealth of experience before she got her duty post.
He said Hajia Fatimoh is an honest, prudent and corrupt free woman who has never embezzled the school treasury as she was given every opportunity, advising other teachers to emulate her corrupt free attitude.
Speaking also, the Chairman of the occasion, Mallam Abdulwahab Oniye described the ceremony as a most joyous day in the history of the celebrant and the school, pointing out that the name of retired Head Teacher would be written in the school history.
He described the retired H/M as a good teacher that taught as a professional teacher, charging the other who are still on active service and urging them to keep proper pupils record for pupils who may later come for the documents.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Head Teacher of the school, Mallam Busari Taiwo said the retiree has gone a long way in reaching profession, believing that the manifest context of her efforts has impacted rightful knowledge on young ones that have become someone in life.
He noted that the meritorious dedicated in upbringing of the future leaders and development of education in schools will be abundantly reciprocated and be rewarded in her future endeavours, adding that it is imperative to rest after 35 years of labour.
The H/M assured that the influence of the lives touched will surely manifest till the eternity as “Law of Karma stated, disclosing that the retired H/M hanged chlak but still look active, physically, mentally and psychologically fit.
He told her that as she going on retirement her wealth of experience and knowledge will be felt and needed in the school and in the community at large, congralating her as she leaving the service of noble teaching profession, praying that the spirit of life she touched shall reward her in multiple.
The H/M however, thanked Abdulrahman Kobiowu foundation for the immense philanthropic contribution to the school, as Oliver Twist always ask for more especially in the area of furniture for most of the pupils sitting on bare floor.
Mrs. Abdulrahman Fatimoh Bodunrin Idris in Ilorin over five decades ago to the family of Alhaji Nuraini Shinde Alfanla Alomimata and Alhaji Atikat Aduke.
She joined civil service as a class teacher in 1986 at Amule LSMB, she teaches at Alore LGEA, Oke-Apomu, St. James C.A.C, Pakata LGEA, Al-Yaudeen LGEA, Mount Camel LGEA, Eruda LGEA as Assistant Head Teacher.
She later transfered back to Alore ‘B’ LGEA as Assistant lead mistress, and given duty post as Head Teacher of Oke-Apomu LGEA in 2019.
Some of her achievements include 40 double lockers and desks from Kwara State government, purchased of the school drums, facilitation of school toilets constructed by AbdulRaheem Kobiowu foundation, pupils were given exercise books and 40 pupils were also presented with school uniforms by the same foundation.
Highlight of the ceremony include reading from Holy Qur’an and Hadith, cultural display by the pupils of the school and presentation of gifts by the celebrant former staff from various schools she served.
