The meritorous sentforth ceremony for the former and retired Headmistress of Oke-Suna LGEA, Oja- Gboro Ilorin, the Kwara state Hajia, Ashiru Rukayat Abimbola took place at the school premises on Thursday
The event which was held in low key ceremony with the prayer graced by teachers, Parents Teachers Association (PTA) community elders and the pupils of the school.
Speaking at the at prayer session of the programme, the Chairperson of Association of Primary School Headteachers of Nigeria Ilorin East Local Government, Hajia Titilayo Ibrahim commended the retiree for being a good ambassador of the teachers.
Hajia Titilayo Ibrahim who was represented by the association secretary, Mallam Issa Yakubu thank Allah on behalf of retiree for served humanity for 35 years active service, reminding those still in service to redouble their effort.
Also speaking, the Headmaster of Oke-Suna School ‘B’, Mallam Hamzat Yusuf said teachers should be recognised by parents, stating that teachers produced professors, Engineers, Doctors, Lawyers, Journalists and even traders.
He elogised the good conduct while she was in the school service, describing her as a good mother.
He disclosed that the immidiate past Headmistress always paid some less privileged and bought school uniforms, sandals, bags, books for motherless pupils of the school, appreciating her for selfiless service rendered in the teaching service.
Highlight of the programme include reading from Holy Qur’an and Hadith, displaying of mimic of retired Headmistress and presentation of gifts.
