The Chairman, Kwara State Road Maintenance Agency, Alhaji Aliu Kale Oloje has again cautioned the residents of Kanga-meta community in Akere-bata in Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State to stop dumping of refuse into gulters to prevent the blockage of water ways.
The chairman made the appeal during the on-the-spot assessment to the Kanga-meta community that recently affected by flood, reiterating government commitment to made every community free of flooding.
He advised the people to always observed town planning rule while put structures to give way for free flow of water, advising them to stop dumping of refuse into gulters during downpour to avoid flood.
Oloje who led others officers of the agency on-the-spot assessment visit charged the residents to cooperate with the government on the policies and programmes, assuring that very soon the government will send a team of competent engineers for the measurement of the road.
He charged them to be prayerful on the project and for the success of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq government as the present government under the administration of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq fully committed to the wellbeing of every kwarans.
He said the present government determinations to make sure that kwara citizens will enjoys the dividends of democracy irrespective of their political affiliation, urging all to redouble their prayers for the success of government.
In his appreciation onbehalf of the community, one of the community landlords, Alhaji Raji Kolade, commended the state governor and agency chairman for their quick response to their problems.
