Turn Over A New Leaf, Shun Any Criminal Acts, Kwara NSCDC Female Strike Force, Advise Inmates, Students


The Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Iskilu Ayinla Makinde, has stated that the Corps’ female squad, code named female strike force( FSF) will begin their operation in the State by the second quarter of the year.

The Commandant disclosed this during the female squad’s visit to the Nigeria Correctional Center, Kwara State Command, Juvenile Rehabilitation Centre and some schools in Ilorin metropolis.


Represented by the national commander of the NSCDC female strike force, CSC Imonikhe Oluwakemi, who was on a working visit to the Kwara Command confirmed the  readiness of the female squad to compliment efforts of the male colleagues, adding that the female squad are ready to do their best to combat security challenges facing the country.

“According to the Commandant General Abdullahi Ahmed Audi, the female squad is a child of necessity borne out of the need to effectively curtail recent upsurge of insecurity
occasioned by armed banditry, kidnapping hence the need for effective implementation of safety of school initiatives” the Commandant General disclosed.

The spokesman of the NSCDC in the State, Babawale Zaid Afolabi explained that the national commander of the NSCDC female squad, CSC Imonikhe Oluwakemi appealed to the inmates at the correctional center to turn over a new leaf and shun any criminal acts.

The controller of the correctional center in the State Mrs. Ozuzuma Collete reiterated the correctional centres readiness to work together with the female squad , like their male counterparts in order to curtail any breach of security at the facilities.

The female squad team also visited ministry of women affairs where they were warmly welcomed by the Commissioner Hon.Mopelola Abdul Majid.
