We ‘ll Reconcile All Warring Factions, As Lai Mohammed Denounced Involvement In Any Congress – New Kwara APC Chair,

The newly elected Chairman of the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Sunday Fagbemi has promised that all warring factions in the party will be reconciled. He said this while granting an interview.

According to him, there was a meeting between the governor, Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq and the Minister for Information, Lai Mohammed and he asserted that they will work together for the good of the party, especially seeing as they’re elder statesmen.

While speaking on his ascendance to the office and his relationship with the governor, he said “ I’ve actually come a long way with the governor but if the recommendations that were made to him were not considered, I wouldn’t have been here.

He saw my resilience, loyalty, experience, courage and commitment to the progress of Kwara State, on this basis, he considered me.

“I know he has the love of everyone in the state at heart, I know he wants to make the difference he’s making, he meant well for Kwara and he wants to improve it. He’s developing Kwara, the state has never had it this good.

“I know he’s not going to relent but to continue doing all that is possible and that will better the state. He has touched the education sector, health, infrastructure and many more. He’s doing excellently well.”

He refuted any rumours of a parallel congress as all the principal linked to it have denied any involvement, “I don’t think there is any parallel Congress because I was made to understand that Honourable Minister for Information, denounced his involvement in any congress.

Senator Gbemisola Saraki said she did not participate in any congress even Bashir Bolarinwa Omolaja, (BOB) that was said to have been elected denied participating in any parallel congress, I think that is the figment of the imagination of those who want the ember of discourse to further foster in the party.”

In his advice to the people of Kwara, he urged them to be discerning and refuse any attempt to take them back to ‘Egypt’, “Kwarans, let us not deceive ourselves, nobody should deceive us by taking us back to Egypt.

“We’re already liberated, it’s only the enslaved mind that does not believe in the change that is going on, even the dead that cannot hear can see the difference between what Kwara has been and what it is now. The blind, if they cannot see, they’re hearing of all the developmental activities that are going on in all the wards of Kwara State.”
