We Ready To Supports Timely, Quality Immunization In Kwara – Deputy Gov

The Kwara state government has restated its commitment to quality healthcare delivery through timely immunization.

Deputy Governor of Kwara state, Mr. Kayode Alabi stated this on Monday at a meeting with the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (U.S. CDC) and Kwara state Primary Healthcare Development Agency.

Speaking on the ongoing COVID-19 immunization, the Deputy Governor stated that the turnout is impressive but below expectations, appealing to Kwarans to avail themselves of the vaccine and halt the spread of the virus.

Earlier in her remarks, Director of immunization (U.S. CDC) Dr. Omotayo Bolu said the team is in Kwara state to support the upcoming polio outbreak responses and COVID-19 vaccination efforts.

In her address, executive secretary of the Kwara state Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr. Nusirat Elelu noted with joy that Kwara state is one of the first states alongside Adamawa that is benefiting from the support of the (U.S. CDC).
