Woman Dies In Compound Well In Ilorin

 

It was reported that a woman, Fatimah Ranti, died in Ilorin, Kwara state on Sunday after jumped into a compound well in Asunara Ile Kola, off Balogun Fulani, Ilorin and that she could not be rescued because the incident occurred at wee hours of the day.

Accordibg to one of old man who is also reside in the compound confirmed the incident said the woman woke up in the middle of the night and went outside the house as if she was going to ease herself.

But after waiting several minutes for her to return, he went outside to look for her and raised the alarm after his futile search.

“We discovered her corpse inside the well following morning’’, the man said.

Head of Department (HOD), Media and Publicity, Kwara Fire Service, Hassan Adekunle, who said her corpse has been recovered from the well by firemen and handed over to the family head.
The Director, Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, however, urged everyone to be more vigilant in their neighbourhoods in order to prevent further occurrence of the incidence.
