A group in kwara state chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), popularly known as Progressive Change on Thursday appealed to the former chairman of the party, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa to accept without further delay, the position of a commissionership in the state cabinet.
The group in a statement in Ilorin signed by its acting secretary, Mallam Ganiyu Zakaryah said, “the National Secretariat of the Party had made avenue for peace by not leaving the former chairman in the cold.
The statement said the national secretariat of the party will compel with the state Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to appoint the former chairman in his cabinet, describing it as a welcome development.
The statement urged the former chairman, Hon Bolarinwa to see and accept commissioner position as another way to serve the state, adding that his removal should not without compensation.
The group advised him not to allow himself to be used as a ‘fall guy’ by desperate politicians within the ruling party in the state particularly those threatening to destabilize the party’s forthcoming membership registration exercise.
